The Redmi Note 9T introduces 5G to the mid-range device series, while the Redmi 9T brings an elaborate camera system and fast charging to accompany a massive battery to this entry-level model.

Redmi Note 9T
The Redmi Note 9T heralds dual-sim 5G into the brand’s mid-range, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chip, the device provides 4×4 MIMO coverage across several antenna bands. Many have noted its similarities to the Redmi Note 9; however, the Note 9T is set to have wider, global availability while the prior device sells only in China.
The Redmi Note 9T features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 60Hz refresh rate, and a Gorilla Glass 5 covering, 4GB and 6GB RAM options, and 64GB UFS 2.1 storage, and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage options, in addition to a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charge and reversed wired charging support. The device will sell with a 22.5W USB-C in-box charger. It’s color options include Nightfall Black and Daybreak Purple.
The Redmi Note 9T triple-camera setup includes a 48-megapixel main lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. while its selfie camera is a 13-megapixel lens housed in a right-side hole punch.
Other highlight features include its duals-speakers, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, IR Blaster, FM radio (with headphones), and optional NFC (for €10 extra).
The Redmi Note 9T starts at €229 for its 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model, while its 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model will sell for €269. The brand is offering respective €199 and €249 early bird prices for both models. The Redmi Note 9T will sell through the brand’s website as well as through third-party vendors, including Amazon.

The Redmi 9T is a solid indication that brands are stepping their game up for the entry-level market. Already impressive design-wise, the device stands out with an anti-fingerprint textured back panel and embossed Redmi branding, which gives it a slightly higher-end look than many would expect for an entry-level device.
These features are accompanied by a quad-camera set up for the main module, which includes a 48-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Once again Redmi 9T is stepping ahead of trends when many upcoming entry-level devices are set to really begin playing with triple-camera setups. Its selfie camera is an 8-megapixel lens housed in a teardrop notch.
The Redmi 9T features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chip (powering 4G), 4GB and 6GB RAM options, and 64GB UFS 2.1 storage, and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage options, with microSD expansion up to 512GB, in addition to a 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charge and reversed wired charging support. The device will sell with a 22.5W USB-C in-box charger. It’s color options include Carbon Gray, Twilight Blue, Sunrise Orange, Ocean Green.

The Redmi 9T starts at €159 for its 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model, while its 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model will sell for €189. There will also be a 6GB RAM and 128GB model, which has not yet been priced.
