Details about the OnePlus 5G have cropped up among the OnePlus 7 rumors and leaks. Some murmurs about the device suggest it may include fan-made 5G apps, wireless charging, and a 3D sonic in-display fingerprint sensor. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has also confirmed that the OnePlus 5G smartphone will cost at least $200 to $300 more than the average OnePlus device. The OnePlus 7 itself could sell for approximately $569.
Even with several details about the OnePlus 7 circulating, there is still some confusion about the manufacturer’s launch schedule. Recent leaks suggest the OnePlus 7 may be announced on May 14, and also hint that there may be a standard model as well as a OnePlus 7 Pro. However, the OnePlus 5G launch date remains a mystery.
It is most plausible that the OnePlus 5G device may launch later in the year. We consider this because OnePlus is a T-Mobile carrier partner and T-Mobile plans to roll out its 5G network during the second half of 2019.
