The HTC Vive Pro Eye is now on sale in North America, selling for $1,599 in the U.S. and $2,149CAD in Canada. The enterprise-level VR headset was first announced at CES 2019 in January with an aim toward helping businesses develop more effective training methods for employees, as well as to test products in a safe manner.
A highlight feature on the HTC Vive Pro Eye is its unique eye-tracking technology, which blurs the peripheral areas of VR scenes to create a more lifelike experience. HTC collaborated with the technology company Tobii to bring this feature to the Vive Pro Eye.
Some of HTC’s enterprise partners include BMW, MLB, and Ovation. The BMW M Virtual Experience allows customers to create and customize their ideal version of the M5 vehicle. The MLB Home Run Derby VR experience uses an actual bat for simulated batting practice rather than a VR controller. The company, Ovation uses the HTC Vive Pro Eye for its public speaking training course.
The HTC Vive Pro Eye kit includes the VR headset, two base stations, two controllers and several accessories.
