“Disney Plus pricing, lineup, and Hulu bundle details”

Disney Plus is gearing up to be a tantalizing cord-cutter option, with more details shared about the streaming service at the D23 Expo last week. We know now that Disney Plus will launch November 12 for $6.99 per month, with a host of old favorites as well several many new original content selections.

Disney Plus will host over 500 movies and 7,500 television episodes, giving subscribers considerable content. Reports indicate that new episodes for upcoming shows on the service will update weekly, rather than an entire seasoning being made available at once.

The service will support four simultaneous streams from different users, allowing streaming in 4K, UHD, High Dynamic Range, and Dolby Atmos as a standard. There will be a Kid Mode option for parental controls. Disney executives have detailed that there are plans for a PIN controlled setting to prevent younger viewers from having access to mature content.

Disney Plus will have an app that is compatible with iOS and Andriod, as well as Apple TV, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Roku. Disney has plans to make the service compatible with more streaming platforms; however, there are no details about Disney Plus working with Amazon Fire TV that this time.

Users will be able to curate their viewing experience through the app, but interface will also assist, with franchise suggestions if a film or show being watched is apart of a series or universe. The app will also support more standard navigation features, such as Recommended For You and Continue Watching. Additionally, the app supports unlimited downloads for offline viewing.

Disney has teased several of its upcoming original shows and movies, including The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and The World According to Jeff Goldblum. Disney also announced at D23 that it has plans for three live-action show starring the Marvel characters, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk, a Star Wars series featuring Ewan McGregor in his Obi-Wan Kenobi role, and a Lizzie McGuire revival featuring Hilary Duff.

Other subscription options include $69.99 for an entire year of service and $12.99 per month in a bundle with Hulu and ESPN+. Those interested can sign up to be updated on when Disney Plus is available to consumers.
