“LG V60 ThinQ leak suggests massive battery, quad cameras, and four microphones as brand backs out of MWC”

LG may not be attending Mobile World Congress this year, but the brand does have a smartphone in the pipeline, which may include some beefy specs, including a 5,000mAh battery, a quad-camera setup and a four-channel microphone set up.

Details on the device originate from tech informant, Evan Blass, who recently shared screencaps of a promotional video for an unreleased LG device, which may be called the LG V60 ThinQ. The images also showcase a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Rumors have already begun circulating for the LG V60, suggesting the smartphone will run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip, which will likely enable 5G. It may also feature a near bezel-less display between 6.7 and 6.9-inches, a SIM card slot, a dedicated Google Assistant button, and a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC.

Many have already begun calling the device the LG V60 ThinQ, but have also noted that the brand’s G series is typically announced as an early year device. In 2019, the LG G8 and LG V50 were announced in tandem, with the latter as a 5G supported model. But there is word that LG could phase out its G series this year, which would mean no LG G9.

LG was expected to announce the LG V60 ThinQ during Mobile World Congress in late February. However, the brand has not indicated any new launch event details since pulling out of the annual tech conference.
