“New ZTE 5G smartphone will feature an under-display camera”

ZTE is set to launch a new device with an under-display camera in China on September 1. The ZTE Axon 20 5G will be the first mass-produced smartphone of its kind.

The ZTE Axon 20 5G is slated to release in China, the Nordic, and the Middle East once available. While price details for the smartphone have not yet been confirmed, it is expected to be more of a mid-range device.

Recent leaks suggest a 6.92-inch OLED display with a 2460 x 1080 resolution, which will feature a 32-megapixel lens as the highlight under-display camera as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor. The rear camera setup will include a 64-megapixel lens, an 8-megapixel lens, and two additional 2-megapixel lenses.

There is no 3.5mm headphone jack on the device.ZTE has mentioned that other major players in the industry are also experimenting with under-display cameras.
