“OnePlus and T-Mobile 5G scavenger hunt will give away cash and smartphones”

OnePlus and T-Mobile are collaborating to host a virtual scavenger hunt, which will award prizes to over 400 winners who can ID three remote U.S. towns that are home OnePlus pop-up stores and are also able to easily access T-Mobile’s 5G network.

Participants will have a chance to win $5,000, a OnePlus 8T+ 5G handset, or a pair of OnePlus Buds Z truly wireless headphones. The brands are hosting this challenge to celebrate the launch of the OnePlus 8T+ 5G and to showcase the prowess of its 5G network, which T-Mobile claims is the largest in the nation. It is also intended to be a fun way to explore the country in lieu of traveling, which has been limited for many due to the current pandemic.

To enter the challenge, players can register and submit their guesses at OnePlusGoFarther.com and can go to the T-Mobile Twitter account for hints, which include riddles and images. The scavenger hunt takes place between November 12 through November 19 and participants will have several opportunities to guess the names of the three U.S. towns where OnePlus pop-up stores are located. The final clue for the third location will be posted on the OnePlus website on November 18.

Those in the scavenger hunt can also use the hashtag #OnePlusGoFarther on social media to share their progress.

Winner prize tiers

  • Three grand prize winners will get $5,000 in cash and a OnePlus 8T + 5G with custom-designed art by popular artist ZHC on the back.
  • 100 second-place winners will receive the new OnePlus 8T + 5G
  • 300 third-place winners will receive the OnePlus Buds Z.

Location reveals

Answers will be revealed on the @OnePlus_USA Twitter page on November 13, 17, and 19 and participants will also get emails with updates. Those who guess correctly will then be entered into a raffle to win the various prizes.

The contest is only available for U.S. participants over 18 years of age.
