“Apple Event 2021 Confirmed for September 14 with iPhone 13 Rumors Leading”

Apple will host its next product showcase on September 14, at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. EDT), where it is expected to announce a number of devices, including the iPhone 13 series, the Apple Watch Series 7, the AirPods 3, the iPad Mini 6, and potentially also new MacBook Pro models.

The Cupertino, California-based brand sent out media invites today and shared details about the event on its social media platforms, as well as put a live stream placeholder on its website, indicating that the event will be available for public viewing.

Apple included the tagline ‘California Streaming’ with the invite, giving a fun spin on the old ‘California Dreamin’ song title. In the past, viewing Apple events online was reserved only for people with Apple devices, such as iMacs, Macbooks, or iPhones. However, amid the pandemic, the company had widened its scope, stating at its April 2021 event, in particular, that it has seen the benefit of giving greater access to streaming its events online. Though it does appear that Apple is stil not yet ready to return to having in-person events.

The iPhone 13 series is expected to come in four models, the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The Pro models, in particular, may support 5G, display upgrades, including 120Hz refresh rates, and rear camera upgrades. The entire series may see upgrades to Face ID, with greater senstivity to identifying users with masks.

Recent reports about the Apple Watch Series 7 suggests that the wearable may see a size upgrade to 41-millimeter and 45-millimeter options, up from the 40-millimeter and 44-millimeter versions available for the Apple Watch Series 6.

Murmurs about the AirPods 3 suggest they might adopt some design aspects from the Airpods Pro. The iPad Mini 6 might also take inspiration from the older iPad Air. Meanwhile, if announced, the MacBook Pro may come in 14-inch and 16-inch models.
