“Amazon Adds Venmo as Latest Payment Option for Black Friday”

Amazon has announced the addition of Venmo as its latest payment system for customers in the U.S. The option is available starting Tuesday and will fully roll out to all Amazon users accross the country by Black Friday.

Amazon shoppers will be able to add the Venmo payment option to their account just like any other payment option before proceeding with shopping and checkout on the Amazon.com storefront or the Amazon mobile app. When customers are ready to check out they can select Venmo as the preferred payment option. Venmo can also be set as the default payment so shoppers don’t have to select a payment option at each check out.

Users must of course have a Venmo account to take advantage of the payment option. The multiplatform app is downloadable and registering for an account is free. Venmo, which is owned by PayPal is already home to 90 million users, is known as an easy way to transfer money between parties. In addition as a method of paying for goods and services.

Amazon purchases made with with Venmo are secured by the brand’s back-end technology and its A-to-z Guarantee, as well as Venmo’s Purchase Protection for eligible products.

Amazon first spoke about Venmon integration into its shopping service last November.
