“Motorola Moto G Stylus Favors Battery and Camera for 2022 Model”

Motorola announced on Thursday its latest smartphone, the Moto G Stylus, which is now available at Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon.com, and Motorola.com for $299.99. The device will also be coming to carriers including Consumer Cellular and Cricket in the coming months.

While smartphones with built-in styluses remain a niche in the market, Motorola has remained committed to its G Stylus line for several generations. The 2021 model powered 5G; however, this year’s model has a focus on battery life and camera quality.

The 2022 Motorola Moto G Stylus features a MediaTek Helio G88 chip, which supports 4G LTE. It also features a 6.8-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage with microSD support up to 512GB, a 5,000mAh battery, which Motorola says can support up to two days of battery life per charge. It also supports 10W charging.

Of course, the stylus housed within the smartphone chassis allows for easy carrying. It pairs with the Moto Note app.

The Moto G Stylus triple rear camera set up includes a 50-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-mega pixel depth sensor. The 118-degree ultra-wide lens is not only intended to capture four times more of a scene than the standard frame, it is also intended to double as a macro camera with the ability to zoom in five times closer to the subject. The device also has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

The handset includes such features as a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Face Unlock, and a 3.5 mm audio jack; however, it does not include NFC connectivity to enable such functionality as mobile payments.

Color options for the Moto G Stylus include Twilight Blue and Metallic Rose.
