“Sony at CES 2020: Gaming, smartphones, TV, and AI announcement lineup expected”

Sony is set to showcase a host of new products at CES 2020 come Monday. The brand is hosting a press conference at 5 p.m. PST (8 p.m. EST) to share what it has in store. With a theme of “the future is coming,” there are already a number of guesses at what Sony may announce.

On the top of everyone’s wish list is the PlayStation 5, which is now even more anticipated after Microsoft unveiled its Xbox Series X consoles in December. If Sony’s gaming set up is announced, it may similarly be a while until a market release; however, it’d likely be enough to keep fans and media buzzing.

Rumors also suggest the brand may showcase a number of new smartphones, including the Sony Xperia 3, which could include a camera set up with up to six lenses, and the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G flagship chip. Another rumored device is a mid-range model running the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chip, which could also hint at 5G connectivity.

Additionally, Sony is expected to discuss its latest developments in AI at the CES press conference. Traditionally, the brand announces the latest models in its Bravia TV series, which will likely also seen an update for 2020.
